The Boys redeemed their 1-0 loss in the 2009 Dallas Cup Final by defeating the Dallas Texans 3-1 in the 2010 Dallas Cup Semi-Final. Dallas opened the scoring in the 5th minute, heading in a free kick set piece. The Boys fought back and Kevin opened the scoring with a diving header into the near post off a corner kick. The half ended 1-1. About 15 minutes into the second half, Christian got a breakaway down the right side and found Trevor wide open speeding down the center. Christian hit him with a slotted pass to feet, and Trevor beat the goalkeeper 1 v. 1. With about 5 minutes left, Nicki scored his third goal of the playoffs by putting in scramble in front of the goal when the goalkeeper deflected a shot from Steven. Juanito and Armand held the midfield tight.
Thanks to Dallas Texans for a class game, and a class act, and to their parents for the words of encouragement following the game. The Boys face LAFC in an "All California" final tomorrow in Pizza Hut Stadium at 2:00.
